Mediums: Fibres, Mixed Media, Paper

A Winnipeg based artist and Fine Arts student whose work often touches the sensitive intimate ideas of identity and the silent relationship between past and present, life and landscape, us and the world.

Drawn to elements of self-disclosure as a connection between the isolating, and at the same time unifying dimensions of the individual experience, through moments of emotional height, of the mundane and the symbolic lens which one experiences the world. With a growing interest in process, and a love with texture, form and labour I often use handmade and manipulated natural materials, including paper and fibre. Turning the materials such as fragile paper or delicate thread into figures and landscapes that are not just frail or delicate; but allude as well to strength, flight and bravery.
